1150 - ESE: How to prohibit system tray execution on a per-user basis

Modified on Mon, 21 Jul at 12:52 PM

By default, any user is allowed to access the ESE Data Management Agent. Specific users can be prevented from seeing the system tray by changing the following integer (DWORD) registry value to a value other than zero:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Redstor\BackupClient\RestrictTrayAccess

If a user for whom tray execution is prohibited attempts to access the Agent, the Agent will not launch.
