In cases where a proxy server is used to access the Storage Platform, you can configure the proxy settings in the ESE Agent by going to Options > Communications > Connection.
Under Proxy Server:
- Select Use HTTP proxy.
- Enter the proxy server's details in the fields provided.
- If applicable, enable the option Proxy server requires authentication and enter the appropriate credentials.
Note: The use of a proxy server will be reflected in the Agent logs.
In cases where the AccountServer is hosted in the cloud (behind a proxy) but the StorageServer is on-site, the Agent can be configured to allow certain addresses. To do this:
- Go to Options > Communications > Connection.
- Under Proxy Server, follow steps 1 to 3 above.
- In the field Bypass proxy for these addresses, list the IP addresses of the servers to be allowed, each on a new line. Partial IP addresses with a wildcard as a suffix (e.g. 10.0.0.*) are also accepted, as are host names and addresses in CIDR notation (192.168.20.0/24).
