Redstor data centre network firmware maintenance (ZADD2)

Description:  As part of our commitment to keep our hosting environments secure and operating at the highest standard, we will be performing routine maintenance and upgrading firmware on our network equipment in our ZADD2 data centre in South Africa.

A 5-hour maintenance window is scheduled, and we expect services in this site to be unavailable for 60 minutes.

Our secondary site will be unaffected during the change, and can be used to perform any urgent restore using the steps in this article: https://support.redstor.com/s/article/1118-How-to-restore-data-from-a-MirrorServer

Scope:  Scope: Connectivity to storage located in ZADD2

Window: 13 May 2025 11:00 to 16:00 UTC+1

Expected Impact: 60min downtime

  • 05/13/2025 16:36:00 (UTC):  Update: Some of the network components failed to upgrade, and a decision was made to roll back to the previous configuration. Downtime is expected to last a maximum of three hours.
