During backup, we gather information about the machine, such as operating system details, installed software, and enabled features, and send this to the Storage Platform along with the backup. This allows us to know the state of the machine at the time of backup should we need to assist in troubleshooting.
The gathering of system information during backup is set to time out after five minutes (300000 ms). To change this default, open the a5backup.properties file, and set
backup.system.info.timeout to a different number of milliseconds. If scanning for system information slows down the backup or causes errors, you can disable it by setting
backup.system.info=false. Note that the information will then not be available.
