Description:  Increase in ESE backup failures in the Europe, MEA and UK storage regions.

Scope:  ESE backups in the Europe, MEA and UK storage regions.

Status:  Resolved

Cause:  StorageServer update on 25 June impacted communication protocols between ESE-clients and the StorageServer infrastructure.  The software defect was not detected in the pre-release testing process.


Update history

  • 2024-06-26 15:40 (UTC):  Backup activity has returned to normal.  While considered resolved, continuing to monitor.

  • 2024-06-26 09:58 (UTC):  Backup activity observed as returning to normal.

  • 2024-06-26 08:42 (UTC):  Fix has been rolled out to production, Redstor Teams monitoring.

  • 2024-06-26 07:16 (UTC):  Fix has been prepared and tested, production roll-out process underway.
